About fun

fun is a launchpad on Meteora where launches start fair and coins can grow up. Every coin gets the same house rules, and the big ones are written into the coin itself, so they hold on every app, bot and wallet. Nobody can switch them off, us included.

The house rules

The same for every coin, written into the coin itself.

Snipers pay 99%

Bots watch for new coins and buy in the same split second they appear, before any person has seen them. On fun, the first blocks of every launch carry a 99% fee. A sniper who buys there gets about 1% of the tokens they paid for.

  1. block 099%fee
  2. block 199%?on some coins
  3. block 299%?on some coins
  4. block 399%?on some coins
  5. block 42.5%normal fee

How long the 99% lasts is random for every coin: sometimes just block 0, sometimes up to block 3. A bot that always fires at the same moment gets caught some of the time. The tax goes to the coin's own wallet (after Meteora's cut, below), which buys the coin back and burns it, so snipers end up paying for the holders' burns.

The window lasts about a second at most, so people buying normally never pay it. Each coin page shows what snipers paid.

Dev locked for 24 hours

The dev can still buy at launch: their buy goes in the moment the 99% window closes, before anyone else. Those tokens go straight into a Jupiter Lock escrow, the same locker Meteora uses, and stay there for 24 hours. Nobody can cancel it or move them early, not the dev and not us, and bonding doesn't end it. When the time is up they go to the dev's wallet. The coin page shows the countdown and links the escrow. No launching, pumping and dumping in the same minute.

Max per wallet

Every coin has a cap on how much one wallet can hold until it bonds, whether it buys the tokens or gets sent them. The launcher picks it, anywhere from 0.5% to 4% of the supply, and the coin page shows it. The only exception is the dev buy, which is locked instead. Filling a curve takes dozens of buyers, not one whale.

Transfers off until bond, by default

Until a coin bonds, its tokens only move by buying and selling. Sending them wallet to wallet is off, so nobody can spread one bag over ten wallets to get round the max. A launcher can choose to leave transfers on, and the coin page says so. Wallets still can't receive past the max, and blacklisted wallets can't receive at all. Quick bond coins always keep transfers off.

Fees go back to the coin, and into $FUN

Each trade pays a 2.5% fee. Meteora keeps 20% of every trading fee for running the curve. Of what comes to the coin, 90% goes back into it the way its launcher chose: bought back and burned, paid out in SOL to its holders, or added to its Meteora pool as liquidity that's locked forever. The other 10% buys $FUN and burns it, so every coin launched here shrinks FUN's supply. No platform cut, no creator cut. Each coin page shows its choice and lists every payout and burn.

One coin per ticker

Once a ticker launches here, nobody can launch it again until that coin goes 6 hours without a trade. If two people pay for the same ticker at once, the first one launches and the second gets their SOL back. This covers coins launched on fun; other launchpads can still use any ticker.

Rename, don't vamp

On other launchpads, when a coin has a weak name or bad art, someone launches a copy and the original holders get left behind. On fun, anyone can suggest a new name, ticker and picture on the coin's page, with the reason it should change. Holders like the ones they want, and the winner is written onto the coin itself, on chain. Same coin, same holders, same chart, better name, before or after it bonds.

The dev can't rename a coin on their own, and a new ticker still has to be free. Wallets and charts can take a little while to show a new name.

Launching

Everything a launcher needs, without connecting a wallet.

No wallet to connect

Fill in the form and send 0.05 SOL to your coin's own address from any wallet or exchange. The moment it arrives, your coin launches by itself. Close the page if you like; the payment link brings you back.

Blacklist any wallet

Pick wallets that can't buy your coin until it bonds: paste your own list, or tick from every verified pump.fun KOL and every wallet Kolscan tracks. The list is sealed into the coin when it launches, so nobody can change it after, not you and not us. When a blacklisted wallet tries anyway, the coin refuses the buy and its page shows who was turned away.

Quick bond

An optional launch mode. Nobody can sell until the coin bonds: buying only, all the way up. If it hasn't bonded after 1 hour, selling opens anyway, so nobody's tokens are ever stuck. Every other rule works the same.

Dev buy before the bots

Your dev buy goes in the moment the 99% window closes, so you never pay the sniper tax. The tokens are locked for 24 hours, then sent to your wallet, so the max per wallet doesn't apply to them. Nothing to claim.

Ticker check as you type

The form tells you right away if a ticker is free. If someone else pays for it first, or a launch fails, your SOL goes back to your wallet automatically.

Same deal for every coin

Every coin has 1 billion tokens and the same 2.5% fee. Launchers choose the market cap it starts at ($4.0K unless they pick another) and the one it bonds at (from $15.0K, and at least double the start), their max per wallet, where fees go, a blacklist and the launch mode, and the coin page shows every choice. Nothing else changes, and there are no private deals.

After it bonds

When the curve fills at the market cap its launcher picked.

Locked liquidity

The coin moves to a Meteora pool and its liquidity is locked forever. The fees from that pool keep going where its launcher chose: burns, holders or more locked liquidity, with 10% still buying and burning $FUN.

Free to move

Meteora's pools don't accept coins with built-in rules, so the max per wallet, the blacklist and the transfer and sell locks all end at bonding. The dev lock doesn't: it lives in its own escrow and runs the full 24 hours. Renames keep working.

Fixed supply

Nobody can ever mint more of a coin, not the dev and not us.

The rules run in a public program on Solana: FUNrSeDa9WjjJnAtZJpy7195jdee1VnWtEDU5nMW9Q7b. Sniper taxes, trades, holders, buybacks and burns are all read from the chain as they happen, not typed in by us. Coins trade on Jupiter, Axiom, Photon or any Solana app, and the rules go with them.
